EcoClean compost bin is made of HDPE plastic, cylindrical, 50 liter capacity, the bin wall is drilled with many small holes spaced 10 cm – 15 cm apart to help with ventilation, helping to quickly compost. On both sides of the bin near the bottom edge, there are 2 square doors drilled about 20 – 30 cm square to get the finished compost.

Environmentally friendly. In the past, many people thought that digging holes to bury or burn waste would help protect the environment. However, in reality, the results were completely different. The amount of buried waste would be an opportunity for waste to accumulate, emit odors, directly affecting the air environment and human health.

Instructions for using EcoClean compost bin to compost at home

Before composting with EcoClean bin at home, we need to prepare:

Tools: Plastic compost bin, mixing stick, scoop, gloves and waste scissors
Materials: Organic waste, soil or sawdust, microbial products

Composting process: Takes place in 3 main stages:

Phase 1: Initial Composting

The bottom layer can use soil or sawdust with a thickness of about 5 – 10 cm.
Chop the waste and mix with EcoClean Compost microorganisms at a ratio of 10 kg of waste: 10 grams of microorganisms.
Use your hands to squeeze the mixture to check its moisture. If water leaks out, add dry materials to absorb moisture such as humus or dry leaves. If the mixture is not sticky, add water to create moisture. If it is sticky when squeezed, it meets the moisture requirement.
Put the mixed trash into the compost bin. Add a layer of soil or humus on top to avoid flies and reduce odors. Stir and check the temperature of the trash in the bin every 3-5 days to ensure the optimal temperature of about 50-60 ^degrees Celsius.

Phase 2: Add waste

If there is additional waste, we can pour it directly onto the previous compost batch.
Continue adding EcoClean Compost microorganisms, mix well and cover with a layer of soil or sawdust.
Note: Do not overfill the box, leave a space of 5 – 7 cm for air convection in the box.

Phase 3: Get the finished product

The composting process using a compost bin will take about 20 – 30 days.
The bottom layer of compost is composted first, so after 30 days it will decompose first. We can take it out through the door below the compost bin.
During the composting process, leachate may be generated, which we can use to water plants or pour back into the barrel if the mixture in the barrel lacks moisture.
